John and Sports Illustrated beauty Chrissy Teigen became engaged over the Christmas holidays while they were vacationing in the Maldives.
The pair, who have been together for over four years, are not concerned about procreating at the moment.
"That's not even thought about yet," Chrissy told E! Online. "Obviously, you marry somebody and expect to have children with them, but right now priorities are just different."
Planning the wedding is the couple's most important consideration currently.
Chrissy admits that getting to grips with all the details of the event is a challenge.
"In my mind it's just like an explosion of ideas, but on paper it is just absolutely nothing," she explained. "I'll tell you this-the ceremony will be short."
Although the myriad details have yet to come into place, Chrissy has thought a lot about the dress that she wants to don on her big day.
"I know I don't want anything too satiny, shiny, hard crazy,' Chrissy said. 'I'm not going to be that ball-gown girl at all. I don't want to shock the guy coming down the aisle. I just want to be myself."
Chrissy's television special Scouted to Stardom will air on E! in America Monday.
